CDL Class A Delivery Truck Driver

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Complete a daily truck log and submit reports of mileage covered.
- Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately
- Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible
- Deliver rebar to job sites, customers, and to other company locations as needed
- Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules for a driver
- Will verify delivered goods during unloading process to verify shortages and proper unloading practices
- Present all delivery paperwork and collect signatures as requested
- Check that the load is properly and safe placed in the vehicle before transit
- Inform to Shop Manager of all claims of shortages or errors
- Must adhere to JMS Rebar safety programs and standards
- Performs and/or assist on other duties as assigned
Experience & Skill Requirements:
- Class A driver’s license in good standing
- No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years
- No DWI/DUI in last 10 years
- 2+ years’ commercial driving experience preferred, but we can train the right candidate with class A CDL
- Must be able to drive a manual truck
- Construction job site delivery experience preferred
- Must meet attendance standards
